« Penser global, agir local » : Face aux enjeux environnementaux tels que le réchauffement climatique et l’effondrement de la biodiversité, chacun de nos gestes comptent.

Si les actions individuelles peuvent aider, elles ne seront pas suffisantes.

Nous organisons ainsi des actions collectives comme des ateliers de réparation, des réunions de partage d’expériences sur l’autoconsommation et la rénovation énergétique. Nous accompagnons le déploiement de la Gemme, la monnaie locale girondine sur le territoire, nous participons à l’élaboration du Plan Climat Energie Territorial (PCAET) sur la Communauté de Communes de Montesquieu, nous travaillons à la création d’une coopérative citoyenne d’énergie et de chantiers participatifs de rénovation de bâtiments par l’isolation et la production autonome d’énergie.

Léognan en Transition est un collectif créé en 2020, en pleine période de confinement. Le choc de la pandémie, les rapports successifs du GIEC, la crise des gilets jaunes et la Convention Citoyenne pour le Climat nous ont décidé à tenter d’agir collectivement à l’échelle du territoire.

Nous avons d’abord commencé par tenir spontanément un stand sur le marché de Léognan, avant d’étendre progressivement nos actions.

Notre nom se réfère au mouvement des villes en transition, initiée par Roy Hopkins en Angleterre, auquel nous souscrivons.
